IS IT TRUE THAT HUMAN BEINGS LOOK LIKE TREES?Mark 8:22-24 They came to bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man's eyes and his hands on him, Jesus asked, "Do you see anything?" He looked up and said, " I see people, they look like trees walking around." Sincerely, human beings never looked like trees, By reading the above stated verses of the scripture, we are inspired to understand the effects of the manipulation of the devil. In the first place, The blind man once received the most precious gift of life, The adorable gift of sight, which was stolen from him, to move him away from the water to bath, food to nourish the body, Oil for his hair, all good things of life. The enemy wants him to look dirty and dumped in darkness of Suffering, Hunger, Sickness, Pains, Heartbreak, Mourning, Poverty and Confusion - Just like many people today in our generation, figuratively writing, they are blind. The beauty of life has been removed from them, perhaps by the abuse and use of alcohol, the use of hard drugs or immoral living like Sexual immorality, Stealing, Cheating, Duping, Drugs, Weapons, Human Trafficking, Armed Robbery, Murder and Killing. Ignorantly, some gave themselves over to devil by joining certain Social or Religious groups or Cults that has no part in Christ. The Bible made us to understand such practices as Idolatry, that is the worship of the devil. As a result of the negative influence, such peoples' worldview has been thwarted. They are myopic in reasoning, just like a drunken fellow, they see human beings like trees walking around because their mind has been distorted, They could do all that without seeing any difference, just like their parents did to defile themselves. God sees our miserable state of mind. This is the reason he sent his only Son, Jesus Christ to save us. The restoration plan was revealed by Ezekiel the Prophet (Ezek. 36: 24 - 26) "For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the Countries and bring you back into your own Land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; i will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh” Are you willing to grasp it in this generation, those things the people of old could not attain, the heights they could not reach, we can make it by the grace found in Jesus Christ.
